Flagstaff Folk Festival

The Flagstaff Folk Festival takes place on June 25th and 26th, 2011 at the Coconino Center for the Arts and Arizona Historical Society Pioneer Museum, and proudly showcases the best in folk and acoustic music in Arizona and beyond. We feature over 100 acts on four stages, workshops, jams, and more. The festival is produced by The Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music in partnership with Flagstaff Cultural Partners and the AHS Pioneer Museum.

Solar Rock

 Solar Rock is an annual 100% solar powered festival that features local music, speeches from renowned scientists and local leaders, and educational booth displays from area businesses, non profits, and government agencies. This free public event aims to increase public awareness of climate change issues and, in doing so, put pressure on elected officials to prioritize clean energy and strategies for reducing carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.   Bands will play from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Solar Rock is a 100% solar-powered concert and fair.
• Solar Rock is free and open to the public.
• This year’s Solar Rock will coincide with Cyclovia, a car-free community cycling and walking event.

Olympia Acoustic Music

Olympia Acoustic Music is a volunteer-run concert series bringing outstanding folk and acoustic music to the Olympia area. Performances are intimate, seating about fifty people, and provide the audience with an opportunity to meet and interact with the artists. All concert proceeds go to support the performers. We have featured performers such as Cheryl Wheeler, Buddy Mondlock, and Michael Tomlinson.

In the spirit of "house concerts," we provide "pot luck" refreshments and encourage the audience to bring a pick-up appetizer, dessert or beverage to share before the performance and during the break.

A fabulous house concert venue on Capitol Hill that hosts the likes of Ellis Paul, Lucy Kaplansky, Antje Duvejot and more! This full band show will feature band members from the new CD as well as several friends for a fun night of originals, covers, harmonies and sweet solos in an established listening environment.  PLEASE RSVP via email--house.concerts@comcast.net

This is a highly recommended venue for musicians and audiences alike. It was one of the best and most fun shows I've ever played. Bill's support of independent touring musicians is legendary. The audience was as warm and supportive as one could hope for.  Bill said that I had the longest waiting list of anyone he's ever hosted, which blew my mind (Concerts in our Home has features the likes of Lucy Kaplansky, Ellis Paul and Atje Duvekot).   There were 50 people there and 40+ who didn't get in!  Next time, two shows!  The band completely rocked and it was a joyous evening. May every gig be like this one...
